It was not on aggregators because Legends just released this chapter (it was posted on their Patreon June 17) and has had the other chapters locked behind their Patreon page for months and months now.
I am fairly certain this breaks the Rule 5.2.22 thing about not paywalling chapters which they can be reported for and banned for violating.

Here, maybe do some reading as to what was actually said.

For some reason, a few people thought we were intentionally lowering the quality of the raws so we could then "sell" you a better version on Patreon, lol.

I think that's mostly because we never properly explained what Enhanced Quality actually meant.

When we use that term, we're simply referring to processing the images through Waifu2x with settings intended to preserve the original linework while reducing image noise without ruining the artwork or heavily altering the original image.

It's nothing revolutionary, and honestly, the difference is much more noticeable on certain pages than others.

I genuinely hope you enjoy these chapters, and I also hope you'll check out HikariMangas, where you can reread them at a higher image quality than we're able to upload here because of MangaDex's image-size limitations, as well as see the additional pages included in the volume versions.

The main difference is that our website will generally be around 1-3 chapters ahead of MangaDex.

For example, you can already find Chapters 119 and 120 of Youjo Senki there.

Using our website is also another way you can support us and help us continue releasing new chapters.

Would very strongly recommend not arbitrarily witholding chapters from MD unless you don't plan on being able to post here in the future. They've taken a particularly dim view of scanlator groups using MD as a means to drive traffic to other websites/paywalls/etc.

We’ve actually already been banned from MangaDex once before, and after speaking directly with the moderators about the situation, the ban was lifted.
During that conversation, we specifically discussed promoting our own website, and what we were told was that doing so is allowed as long as the site does not have any kind of paywall restricting access to the chapters.

That is exactly the case with HikariMangas. There are no coins, no subscriptions required to unlock chapters, no payments required to read ahead, and no “pay for better quality” system. The chapters available on the website can be read completely free of charge.

We do have Patreon and other ways for people to support us voluntarily, but access to the manga chapters on HikariMangas is not tied to those payments in any way.

So this isn’t something we just decided to do without checking. We’ve already dealt with MangaDex moderation before and specifically asked about what we were allowed to promote after being unbanned.

I know it was a pretty long comment, so I completely understand that not everyone is going to read every single part of it, but we wanted to be as transparent as possible about what happened and what we're planning to do from now on.

I noticed you swapped out the first pages on your older chapters to add the new splash with the website after uploading this latest set (I checked against agreggator chapters) and the website was registered in January but not actually used until recently.
The mods are soft and the rules don't matter I guess.
I've seen banned groups like Nyancafe report they cant even ask for unbans for lesser crimes so this is literal clown tier behavior.

Yes, we did modify some of the older pages, mainly the credits pages. There are two fairly simple reasons for that.

First, we were previously banned from MangaDex over the way we were promoting our Patreon.

After discussing the situation with the moderators and getting the ban resolved, we decided to change that section of our credits so we wouldn't run into the same issue again.

Second, while making those changes, we also updated the credits to include our own website. The site had existed for some time, but, as my teammate DannsYT already explained in his previous message, we were only recently able to start using it properly.

We also checked this with the MangaDex moderators. Our website does not have a paywall, coins, paid chapter unlocks, or even advertisements at the moment. Nobody has to pay, subscribe, or donate in order to read the chapters there.

And just to make this clear: HikariMangas is not intended to replace MangaDex, nor are we planning to stop updating here. Chapters will continue to be uploaded to MangaDex as well.

So yes, the credit pages were updated. There isn't really anything hidden about that—we changed them after our previous moderation issue and used the opportunity to update our current group information.
