The bittersweet ending, for sure.Meh, so at the end, anything the squad did was inconsequential, failing every important mission, everything was solved by the very much uncaring prime minister, who seems to be rewarded for all his wrong choices, and F just won either way...
In all senses of the word, this was a bad ending
With a lot of bitter for the Japanese populace.
What we do know for sure, though,is that Prime Minister probably didn't make it to the next term.
Except that they did have backstory for some of them, some even had an entire chapter handed to them, and all are known yokai, which adds to their personality. This kind of sucks, to be honest.
They try to pull off a suicide squad kind of a thing like Psycho Pass or Wanted Dead but I don't understand how anyone's supposed to give a shit about any of these people, they're just a bunch of monster weirdos with no backstory.
Like they even totally fail to give a good character arc to the mc. They have her meet a dude that only appears for one chapter, gets revealed to be a youkai and then gets killed but she cries over it because they talked about Cinderella or some shit? Like dude, you met a day ago.
But I still don't get how the setting came about, like these horrible immortal demons with superpowers just came to the world and everyone just decided to make them citizens?
And apparently it's only Japan that gets these demons? Like how would all the countries react to these japanese demons coming to Earth and Japan just accepting them? But maybe they said somewhere that Japan took over the rest of the world and I was just distracted because I just began skimming towards the end of it.
Honestly I was hoping for a demon genocide but I got surprised that that's what actually happened, but even that's kind of anticlimactic.
Like the world collapsed because the plot says so and everyone learns that demons were necessary for the world so they can clean your toilet or whatever.
But yaaay, at least the mc gets to have fun with her stupid gang of friends and the racoon that makes children play with his big deflated testicles, that survived the genocide for some reason that I didn't read.
anyway 8/10 better than one punch man sesaon 3
It'd be the same if it was a comic about Bigfoot,Mothman, and Chupacabra coming together to fight against Amazon Death Squads, there might be some personal story we get,but most of what we know will be from their legends.
And you clearly don't recall chapter eight,do ya?,they skipped forward X number of days after that movie, maybe even X number of weeks, before she noted that "recently no contact",she had enough to start a relationship but couldn't root it enough before it was burnt, still enough to change her mindset later.
Ah,I see the problem.skimming towards the end of it.
You also forgot the thing started due to Japans' one ever present problem, lack of workforce, due to a lack of population growth.
So a bunch of monsters that get checked are the obvious source of labour.
As for other nations...they're other nations, whatever they wanted to say probably occurred in the time between the initial outbreak and the time we see her smoke that school student.
Good lord, you really want to make complaints without even paying attention?some reason that I didn't read.
There was a big fat reason they made it through, how could you miss it!
Also,no,it wasn't a collapse,it was a depression caused by the...well,you can just re-read it yourself,IT'S LITERALLY PLAIN TEXT TOLD TO US.
How was it confusing? What a dissapointing, confusing, and bad axed ending. with pacing issue.
They literally explained how the ending would occur twice before it went through.
The pacing itself was fine, they made clear cut mentions as to where the time skips were.
Bruh, look author already moved on to different story

Started 2019,ended 2020...This manga ended in 2020, the one you posted started in 2024
Does make me wonder if Corona-chan strangling the world had an influence on the production.
Speaking of new series,he did make a new series in 2021 that ended with four volumes, before workng on the 2024 one,so unless the chapter density of the 2021 series was incredibly high,it's safe to assume it also has a lower count that wraps the story as nice as the artist can.
