@Elmithian
I'm sorry if I misunderstood what you meant by the grieving part. But I still stand by what I said. As I have experience with this. However, everyone is different and my experience and your experience could be completely different.
I am posting this follow up, just as a follow up, as I just remembered this. I don't know if you've read the manhwa The Villainess Lives Twice, but in that story the villainess also does horrible things to the ml, just like the ml took away everything from the fl in this one.
The difference is in that one we see everything from the villainess's perspective, so we get to see why she did the thing she did.
While here we see things from only the fl perspective and thus don't fully grasp why the ml did what he did.
Which is why I think it is extremely unfair to judge him and think he is horrible.
Especially since when someone does something wrong to us we tend to see them in the most negative light possible, seeing everything they do with a sinister intent. Which is what is happening here.
But the thing here is, this is her second chance at life and the ml hasn't done all these horrible things yet, which is what this second chance is for, for the fl to change the future and for her to learn more about the ml and his redemption.
I apologize if you think I am being aggressive or any other negative impact you may perceive from me. I just have a very hard time expressing the things i want the way I want to, hopefully you'll understand.
P. S.
I also think it's safe to say that my perspective and yours are different as I have read spoilers and you have probably not, which gives me the insight I need to form my opinion, while if you haven't read any spoilers all you have to go off of is what you know so far.
Not that that is a bad thing, it is just why we have different opinions on the matter.
P. P. S.
I think the authors here are very much to blame for this, in their need to make a big reveal to their plot, they postpone the real reason the ml is portrayed as a villain, I can only assume to keep the tension high, but in doing so they also alienate many readers who are disgusted by the villain being the ml.
I think in stories such as these, the author should at the very least give us the prologue from the ml POV and show us at least a small crumble as to why he is doing what he's doing.
I also think it's very unfair in manhwa of this genre that we always get a very clear reasoning as to why the fl villainess does the things she does and why everyone hates her and she should die, but when it comes to the ml villains, they only show it from the fl perspective making the audience hate him and makes people drop the manhwa.
Sorry I ranted so much, but I hope you and anyone else reading this have a better understanding of my side and why I think the way I do.
