It's hilarious, very raw, and out of left field that they just did that

But it does make sense, she's already a archeology graduate in her last life and she even did a bunch of scientific breakthrough in this life, ijust didn't expect it to be straight up a real PH.D lol

Did she A) Demonstrate mastery of the world's current geologic knowledge and then B) Demonstrate knowledge that would establish a new discipline that revolutionizes the field? Was there a presentation? Did she answer questions from a panel of experts? Is this a high school for 15-18-year-olds, or is it a college? Is the Church mad? Will the country use her research to discover and extract petroleum, leading to an industrial revolution, then global climate collapse in 250 years?

I've also been curious what the current knowledge was before she showed up and how much she knows about it. Presumably she would read whatever was available but we haven't been shown that.
