Bro really went to a comedy ecchi manga and complained why its mostly comedy and fanservice

EDIT: Bias aside (as someone working on the scanlations) - the author was experimenting a lot on the first two volumes, then found the formula around midway volume 3 where there's Fanservice chapters that slowly build up by the end of a volume to progress the plot and I honestly hope people give this a chance instead of being discouraged by the negativity in this thread

The first volume wasn't that bad. It had decent-serviceable writing undermined by forced execution of the fanservice because most of the fanservice is just constant forced accidents with no clear intent or punchline. It's really low brow and uninspired, which is a shame because there are a few moments where it does work like in Chapter 8 where Mukubayashi and Akibura stripped down their pants to make Sensei less awkward which makes fanservice serve a narrative purpose.

But the second volume had a terrible first half, because it basically sexual harassment as a joke. I fucking hated that lesbian pervert! Her entire character upon introduction was just her groping Sensei and being a lesbian sex offender. She did get a little better at the later half of the volume due to a moment of reflection and her appearing less, but man! Her very presence is fucking infuriating. Chapter 19 was definitely a good chapter though, NGL.

I still have to read the rest of the manga, but man! The first two volumes are very weak, even by ecchi romance standard. It feels like the author wanted to write a teacher-student romance but is obligated to add booba ecchi to it to attract readers. Misumi-san Can't See Through really ruined a lot of ecchi romance for me, mostly because of how tasteful and well-executed the fanservice is, and how the character writing is superb and well-integrated with its ecchi moments.

Edit: What in the actual fuck is Chapter 22? That shit's fucking nonsense. "Ah, yes! To get better at studying, I'm gonna undress and have Akibura write things on our body so that we can remember it, and it works somehow". Like where's the funny? Mind you, the previous chapter before this was a very serious teacher-student studying session that was heartfelt and had good chemistry between Sensei and Akibura. The author was definitely high on gravure magazine on this chapter.

Edit (2): Volume 3 felt like a proper ecchi romance manga for once. Chapter 21 is definitely the best chapter because of the pure romance. Chapter 22 is the worst chapter due to it being completely dissonant and nonsensical. The beach chapter was nice, and the photography battle was a fun read because it's a meta comedy about the nature of eroticism. Definitely an improvement overall.

Edit (3): Yeah, I changed my mind about the pervert lesbian. She's the worst of its trope. I thought she would mellow down, but nope! Fuck her in particular.

Edit (4): Chapter 44, You did something good to Akibura, perverted lesbian. I now hate you less. Eh, you know what? You're gonna be stuck on a cycle of hating and liking her Volume 4 and onward.

Sobre não conseguir parar de ler acho que é mais da minha curiosidade mórbida, e bom... Ecchi vagabundo ter virado um tipo de "humor intrigante" para mim, mas daí acho que foi mais desse mangá ter alugado um triplex na minha cabeça, criando situações de cunho extremamente duvidoso e extremo, o que para uma primeira leitura foi um choque para mim (mesmo tendo visto coisas... Nesse site se é que você me entende), e pior que quando vi esse manga pela primeira vez achei que o Ecchi seria leve apesar da tag "erótico", e daí fui completamente desiludido descobrindo que achei um mangá que só não é hen porque o mangaká decidiu que não kkkk. Se o texto ficou confuso me desculpe.
