Rather than "rushed", it felt incomplete, or kind of open. Did the father really have a change of heart after reading the book? He didn't really say he gave up on having Yuki marry, he just canceled that particular meeting.
I guess it's kind of implied that he realized what Yuki really wanted, but still, that doesn't necessarily mean he'd accept it.

The ending felt so rushed and unbelievable after that slow build-up between Yuki & Beniko. I wish we had a chance to see a resolution with the two women and Yuki's father. I can't imagine such an authoritarian figure like him reading a book and suddenly being okay with his daughter being Beniko's lover and living with Beniko, who goes against the patriarchal/sexist standards of women in that age period.

It almost like author need like 2-3 more chapters for the father's explanation and why Sensei returned.

Cat sensei is best. This does feel rushe. Felt like it needed a couple more chapters to resolve the issues involving the dad and the sexist/patriarchal stigmas, but its not the worse rushed story I've seen. i like to see it as a feel good story. Its still pretty satisfying in the end and leaves me with a good feeling
