I feel like this manga will do a reversal of sorts - we're initially made to believe Kairi will continue to reject Hikaru's feelings, but due to Hikaru's potential baggage with her mom, it's possible Kairi will ask to keep the relationship going, only for Hikaru to reject it. Just my thoughts. I hope Hikaru and her mom communicate.

I like how it introduces multiple aspects of character development. Last chapter we got Kairi reflecting on her inner guilt and being aware of her original motivation being selfish and reconciling she does in fact love her and is resolving her inner problems. Now we get more of MC with her relationships her mom tying in the original “don’t fall in love” point with her (thinking?) her Mom potentially might’ve seen her as a burden due to having her resulting in their poverty. Now Mom has collapsed in the middle of her slowly feeling like she can have other goals in life like studying, romance, and a job with a sense of purpose. It’s pretty well written cohesively developing their characters while simultaneously moving their romance along.

All to say is— I quite like this story
