I like more characters, I just don't like that every new character has to be part of the time leaping group. It'd be more interesting if there were characters that they interact with in both time periods who aren't aware of what's going on and aren't being pulled back by the magic manga like like the main two (then three, then four, now apparently five)

Nah, only the girls and one "dull, ordinary" guy who gets ALL of these girls irremediably in love with him -and I'm here for it.
That said, this is one of those stories where I kind of wish there was a Maiko just so ONE other girl got a pair in the end...

Agreed, but when all that's added is more harem fodder you can have too much of a good thing. It's not hard to have a Negima or Yuuna-san situation -I legit dropped Yuuna because I just couldn't be arsed with so many poon (including many, many clone girls) thrown at one character, who I knew was ending up

Even then, maybe this one suffers from loser childhood friend syndrome despite technically being the first one introduced? She doesn't give winner heroine vibes at the moment, imo
