Hard to rate this properly since it's good story but not what I expected. Felt more like slice of life than anything else. Both just found a friend to hang out with that's all.

Good story, really enjoyed it. But I'm not so sure whether this should be marked as romance. I guess there is some, but not really? It's blurry.
Also, even if I enjoyed it, I can't help but notice some huge hanging plot threads and even some story points which seem almost intentionally misleading. Could be just me, but very weird nonetheless.

Romance can take many forms but I feel when the person that’s romantically interested in the Mc and (actually loves them) loses to a person that basically just wants to be friends forever it’s hard to call it a love story.

I agree in that I wish we got a conclusion for Rio, she and Misaki are arguably the two most important side characters but only Misaki got an epilogue.

Friendship can be love, too. And theirs is definitely a loving one. Matoi is happy getting to be around Yuriko. Yuriko is happy getting to stick around Matoi. They want nothing more than that. If that isn't love, what is?

Whoever tagged this needs to remove romance and girls love. Without addressing it in the description, it's extremely misleading. I would have rated it far higher if I'd known what I was going into due to how well it was handled, but going into it expecting Romance and Yuri made me rate it far lower than I would have otherwise due to the misleading tags.

Don't read it if you're looking for fulfillment of the Romance and Suggestive tags. Does not deliver. FMC has a crush on another girl and they end up as friends with no romantic progress or experimentation. No hand-holding, no kissing. It's a decent slice of life character study of FMC, although she becomes increasingly difficult to sympathize with in retrospect after the ending. She basically settles for a life of no romance and is happy with it. So you could understand why the Romance tag is controversial, to say the least.
