Also, darn. Bouquet's backstory is pretty dark. If her wish came true, doesn't that mean she's been dead for a while now? Though...if she had some kind of fatal illness or severe instance of the Japanese cold, I guess that means these thought aliens are able to cure or power through such things when they get into the driver's seat.

With her being able toanifest changes in reality I don't know why she didn't try to cure her illness

Quartet probably simply couldn't cure Marie's illness. Curing cancer or whatever the girl had would be a far more delicate process than disintegrating some shoes. Also, Omochi says taking over the girl's body would have required the girl's consent. Of course, Quartet could be lying about the circumstances of her acquiring a body and Omochi could be wrong, but I don't think that that is likely.

What I mean by dubious is that I feel the girl got manipulated into giving consent rather than giving informed consent, I don't know if Quartet intentionally or unintentionally did that.

And Quartets personality gives me the vibe that she's hiding something.

If I'm recalling correctly the manga hasn't yet explained how the power of manifesting changes in reality works or its potential limits, rules and quirks so there is no metric to tell if curing the girls illness would be easy or hard.
