maybe there's a story reason why she cut it unless it's just 'easier' to draw short if not "there's too many girls with short hair we need a balance" (although it'd be hilariously creepy if her sister 'insisted' on cutting her hair so she could keep it in her room or so XD)

Although the longer hair kinda makes her look older lol

I don't think we have to worry about that for a long time. The two main reasons why series like this die off are 1: the publisher cancels it because it's unpopular, or 2: the creator ends it because they have other things they'd rather focus on. As it pertains to the former, the YuruYuri 'verse is has a lot of mainstream momentum right now thanks to the recent Oomuro-ke films, and as it pertains to the latter, well, Namori's generally never been one to get sidetracked with unrelated projects. YuruYuri may very well outlive all of us.

Now you've said it, I've no doubt you're right. Even if she went somewhere to get it cut, she'd sneak in and sweep it up to keep it and make a genuine Akari hair wig. She's got a mannequin (or maybe blow up doll to hide it easier) dressed in her sister's old clothes and the wig.

The art and writing are actually getting better all the time. And from what I can tell, the series is still very popular. I figure that Namori won't stop this unless she has a seriously compelling reason.
