That's the other little girl student from Folston village, this is happening in the present story-wise.

Two things I think about this:

1) Garm Tarawo is Pochi's sibling.
2) Garm Tarawo is soul-bound to Tifa forever, even if they both reincarnate he's her bitch.

Tifa was Asley's 2nd student and a fellow classmate of Lina. She was too young to go to magic school so she stayed at Foltown until she came of age. She's, iirc, 3 years younger than Lina. Also, she and Tarawo are main characters - that appear more often than Lina and Irene in some arcs - from this point forward.

This post is hilarious with the context of reading the light novel. Not even going to hint at why that is. It's just inestimably funny.

It really doesn't get all that much better. Even by volume 13. It feels like the author has two jokes with her, those being dog abuse and her being a lovestruck dork.

Between that and the art getting worse by the panel... thank you for the heads up. It's really surprising to see what they should have looked like. I'll go ahead and remove this from my list. Soon the art will be nothing more than lens flare/bloom effects and word bubbles, but if even the writing itself is going to get that bad, then... there's literally nothing else here.

Actually, I think the best arc is still coming up. Asley and Pochi kind of end up separated from the rest of the gang for a couple of years and meet a whole new cast of characters that are pretty solid. Tifa gets some screen time when Asley is gone, being the sort of "protagonist" in his absence and learns to treat Tarawo better. But that's kind of overselling her since the non-Asley chapters make up like 5% of the entire arc.

I'd hate to see how the art butchers the arc, though. When Asley finally breaks the level cap and has to fight a bunch of monsters half the size of Godzilla, it'll look like ass.
