page 22.. when will Japanese authors/ authors in general realize that a rapier is not a "woman" weapon, or a girly/feminine weapon? I swear every time I see an main female character with a sword it's always a rapier, even tho irl it's more difficult to use, and heavier too than a "normal" sword.
don't get me wrong, I'm not saying woman can't use that at all, or stuff like this, which is obviously dumb, the only problem is portraying it as if it is a primarily a woman's weapon, which is historically wrong, and almost useless too in fights against a certain number of enemies, since it was more of a self defense weapon/ used in 1v1 duels, which were mostly done by males
-an annoying fencer annoyed by annoying portrayings in fiction
(if you don't know enough about this, consider this vent as a trivia, if you know enough about this.. well then you already know what my point is and why it's right, just saying to avoid angry responses of those who could consider this sexist, which isn't)
