I don't get all the hate for Irene. She's annoying, yes, but the whole blackmailing thing doesn't even seem to bother Asley in the slightest. It feels more like he's just inconvenienced than anything. Remember when he was dealing with the Black rep dude, he reminded himself that they are essentially children to him.

And he went to that school to get more knowledge about the current world, that's why he's sticking around. Plus he doesn't want to inconvenience Rina and wants her to have a normal school life so agreeing to the brats is the easiest way for him to maintain that. He's also even thinking that being part of the school council will get him more insider info on things.

You don't need to always exude big dick energy when dealing with people you don't like.

@sprite-1 Slightly annoying is all it takes for a lot of people, I guess. I made a comment on the previous chapter or the one before that earlier today (so you wouldn't have likely seen it since you commented on this one over 10 days ago) about how people are so quick to jump to "kill them all" just because it's fiction. I feel like it's because the lives of an annoying character don't matter to us at all from our "they aren't even real" perspective. So, slightly annoying? Easy to hate, easy to wish death on, etc.
