@Siveress from what I've seen so far it's the same difference between Sorcery and Wizardry in D&D one is natural and instinctive, while the other is precise, born from study. Magicraft seems to rely on complex formulas and to be supplemented by the use of artifacts.
@Silveress
If i’m not mistaken for this series magic is the manipulation of things that already exist. So for example for this arc most of those magician are there to manipulate the strength, speed, defense, healing capabilities etc of the the adventurer and the enemies that are fighting. Just like what asley did to the silvers during his adventure exam. Thats why many of them just stay put. While some that has enough mana to manipulate wind, heat etc to attack move forward.
Magicraft is the summoning of things that doesn’t exist and the manipulation of magic itself. For example giving an accelerated effect to an existing magic. Or summoning a separated space that doesn’t exist.
The most basic difference is magic use a pentagram while magicraft use a hexagram.
Next chapter will be a good one
.. its where he finally reveal himself to have drink the elixir and prolly the reason why he have a fool title
Aside from Re:Monster, I find it odd that a king, or queen, ogre is considered an S rank monster (said in previous chapter). And next chapter is looking to bring something of at least S rank.
If i don't remember wrong ones they killed king and queen(s-class monster), next should be emperor(ss class monster ?) or remembering emperor from another manga lol
@Silveress makes more sense in videogame based systems, like in Kumo Desu ga, Magic is using what's there (magic particles, skills, and prepared magic formations), Magicraft (sorcery) is manipulating the laws of physics using math. So Astley is that guy that joins the sword & magic mmo, with his modded character data, and custom spells.
