Just thinking about living with "paunchy" for one year, let alone 5000.. Dunno which one would make person more insane, being with that dog that time, or just being alone. Sometimes that dog is just plain annoying, and sometimes kinda sorta funny.. I guess..?

Tbh it's kinda hit and miss writing an animal companion that way. There was that certain attraction/enjoyment of Pochi at this manga's beginning, but lately it has gotten as fun as an old joke that is told every day.
Mostly all it does it spits out bad jokes and tries being irritating to Asley (and I think to some readers also).

@Joonhas Personally, I think Pochi is fine, just really annoying at times. The author is bad at writing comedy, but great at worldbuilding, and Pochi goes from being a fun character that lets her fluffy personality belie her actual intelligence and perceptiveness, to fucking Jar Jar Binks. She really is every bit as smart and wise as her age would suggest, but most of the time she's just poorly written comic relief.

I hate it, because I want to like Pochi, but damn does the author ever make it hard.

@assaultsquirt comedy are subjective, i think the jokes were funny, i laughed a lot so i think the author were good at writing his style of comedy

@ReyzrG To each their own. I think Pochi is a bit too much to be funny. She overshoots charming and funny and lands on annoying for me.

for me this chapter is basically blank pages (well it's obviously not blank)
like nothing special going on but the next chapter tho.... xD
