First off... If anything in my eyes Betty would have the easiest time finding a willing partner. Even for life. Thats manga logic for you. Maybe her standard are too high, but who can blame her?

I got a bit excited to see the gang after a short timeskip, but man what a disappointment. Yes I know, they have been caught exausted, been poisoned and outnumbered in that weakend state by a troop of especially capable bandits (maybe some robber knights in disguise), but seriously? Ain't they supposed to be within the top tiers of that country? The way it was depicted is just... What a wussy way to become damsels in distress, so that Mr. MC comes to save the day. I'm all for a strong entrance, but not at the cost of the dignity of nearly ALL castmembers left.

They did kinda glaze over how hard the monsters they were dealing with were by doing it in like half a chapter. But it's either that or 5 chapters that drag on

5 chapters...urg. I do see your point, but this is a case, which could have used some dragging out. Maybe for another chapter. Highlighting the dangers of the operation a bit more beforhand, than switch over to team villains and do some exposition there:
It's been the villains who found the location of the quest first few days ago and they spiced it up by making the monsters stronger. They made it so, that somebody would put up the quest, so those teams (from now on referred as "heros") would respond. There has been a traitor (maybe among the guild staff or fellow adverturer groups) ratting out some secrets about their team tactics. Everything went down for months in the background. Maybe everything was even sponsored by an enemy nation, which sent some of their own higher tiers as help (the capable "bandits") and some special nasty neurotoxin. (Maybe because of a grudge, maybe to harress the other nation, maybe something else is doing down in the background)
Then the battle goes down. Some of the villains scheming pays out and the heros struggle, but they keep up a good fight. They notice the toxin and do something about it, but they can't counter it fully. It is still weakening them and the clock is ticking against them. A sub-group of the heros is nearly overwhelmed, but the other group saves them. Then two of the capable "bandits" show how powerful they acctually are. One of the elite heros gets wounded, a weaker one gets cornered with blades at their neck, its looking bleak....., but entrance MC.
Next chapter they all fight together and push them back easily. MC can even flex his muscles and pummel down the capable "bandits", while the rest also get their own revenge on the villain group, while looking cool enough doing so.

This was so confusing. Not only do most characters look alike (two identical glasses dudes, 3 identical girls (might have been 4?), and a bunch of similar looking guys besides that. And in addition to that they kept on talking about ppl that weren't there as if we would remember the name :p Fairly sure some guys were new, too.

Also, weren't they supposed to be super strong? why did some random bandits manage to sutprise (particularly, how did so many of them manage to) & overpower them?

Honestly this story isn't meshing well anymore. So many characters, so little care to spread around. The situation isn't helping, and I'm right about read to throw my hands and give up.

Don't forget that the original group of five already had fought against at least seven wolves, followed up by gas-types that apparently were very difficult to fight against (they even mentioned the count of 16 of them were bad news, giving them a 3 to 1 disadvantage). Even with backup showing up, they were still only 8 versus at least 45 people that showed up later, a even bigger 5 to 1 disadvantage.

Edit: Reviewing the previous chapter, the gas types were classified as rank A monsters that warrior-type jobs have bad compatibility against. 3 of the original 5 members were warrior types. In fact, they were only meant to hold them off long enough for Rina to finish them off.

Anyone else felt really lost for most of this chapter? Like said above too many of the characters look too similar which doesnt help.

This timeskip had been poorly done, I feel like I've missed an arc or 2. Also how come doggo grew? They dont age.

@Dwarfy2k , @Axelord , @feha :
I feel you guys. I also had difficultties, but thought that's just my problem. Heck, I confused bratty mage pupil with MC for the first few panels. I could distinguish Betty, but just because of her abs. There is a solution to this, but it'd have to go through the author: Give them more distinguishable haircuts. A pony tail here, a topknot there. Bratty mage is the more serious type. Short hair might look sharp on him.

Also, the more you know: Today I found out the german word for topknot, "Dutt", has not exactly the same meaning in english. English speakers...wtf? Why?

Having not read the story for 5ish months isn't helping me either. I can only remember so many of these stories at once!
