Main character is a technically failure of a mage who had trouble learning the most basic spells, he and his familiar Poche (best character, technically main heroine) accidentally created and drunk/ate a potion that made them immortal. Several thousands of years pass as he's researching magic and they finally comes out of his home to explore. <-- Main plot.
They encounters a village attacked by monsters and rescues a trio of warrior siblings while helping the survivors. The youngest of the siblings, Rina (super cute, actual main heroine), accompanies them as his disciple and they head to the magic academy. Once there, they (and sorry the rest will be fast forward) meets Eileen the loli baba, introduced to a self-proclaimed genius, the hot mage girl Idea, and a muscled brain...muscle brain. MC becomes hated in the class (mainly those 3) but wanted by the big wigs (mostly loli baba), Rina and Poche becomes popular, MC becomes adventure meets a party of three consisting of Lead Smart Guy, Skinny Strong Guy and Betty the hottest character in the manga. Rina gets a dragon, MC helps Skinny Strong Gai free all the prostitutes from red light district introducing Haruhana (super cute but her booba tends to just vanish at times), tournament arc!, Rina kicks ass, finally showdown between Rina and MC, MC wins.
Bad stuff happens tons of monsters appears, MC endorsed by powerful people (mostly loli baba), his secret is discovered, plans fail, MC saves the day. MC leaves magic academy goes on journey. Umm.....stuff happens with a small chick named Melki? (my memory is hazy here). MC trains with magic master, gets jacked cause MUSCLE MAGIC! 2 year time skip aannnnnnd we've arrived.

A spell that binds people with a shared title is a pretty cool concept and if the use cost is low he could just go around town and spam it to find the members. Probably too high of a cost tho so it'll be probably used only in smaller confrontations

Boo... the damn thing was a contrived set up to let Asley both show off and do the cliche "save the damsel in distress" so she can have a more touching reunion with him. They could still have had a touching reunion even if his friends won against the bandits.

I really would've preferred to see Rina and friends win just so they can show Asley and the readers how much stronger they've gotten. Instead we get a lame situation where their power build up was ignored and nerfed. We were told they got stronger, but we were shown something else...

I guess the silver lining here is that the bandits were all killed and shouldn't ever appear again. Nevermind that killer loli who easily escaped due to plot armor even though Asley could keep up with her speed and has a variety of spells to stop her from moving.
