I doubt it. The teacher did announce that she was dead, and our MC was also told about her death by her parents. I doubt the author can pull a "She's in a coma" card.

I know what you mean, I know they did. But why didn't they show her body? Why didn't the show the grave or funeral?
It feels like the parents could have told them that because Konna was in a coma with no brain activity (which usually means death) and that they told him that to not hold on to any hope.

I am getting some Midori no Hibi vibes from this.
