What if your reproductive ability was three-fold, and you had babies born in 3 months instead of 9? And they would always be triplets? Eventually you'd have your own horde of babies.
I don't think they have a nine-month pregnancy cycle. And triplets doesn't seem like it'd be unusual either. Those critters tend to breed quickly as it is.

I guess I should've been clearer there, because I wasn't trying to equate the things. Rather if it was you, yourself, that had that type of reproductive capability, how very quickly you'd have your own large number of infants. And then take that kind of thought and transfer it back over to however it is monsters breed.
But I do agree it's simpler thinking that if his spawn also are given an increased spawning capacity that it would grow very rapidly.

Seriously the humble pointy stick also known professionally as the spear was the most popular weapon for most of history, it's sure isn't as flashy as going around "swoosh swoosh" like a sword and doesn't require "years of studying the blade" (you have time for premarital sex with a spear) but it's safer for any non trained person.
Sorry for the rant but i'm sick of seeing media having a hard on for "Big Knives" known as swords (and don't start me on the trillion times folded katanas we in the west have a hard on for)
I think that DEFINITELY in a fictional setting, a spear can look much more relaxed than a sword. The kind in this story especially, which looks similar to a Chinese spear, is often used as the hero's weapon commonly in Chinese fantasy.
I'm glad others are recognizing how fucking stupid of a sentiment it is that swords are superior to spears, 'but muh honor' yeah say that while a rabbid monster is trying to bite down on your throat and you have to be significantly closer than a spearman
I don't like this unusual pages quality behaviour, if zoomed in it's clear but it low quantity if zoomed out... The heck's going on, the opposite of what should happen is happening
