Maybe its just me, but I feel like the author is having to try really hard to make the core plot make sense. First the men all gave up their wives willingly, now its because they are all actually bad people. That might have been the idea from the start, but nothing hinted or foreshadowed it, and the wives are only just now saying something. In fact, the whole scene with the guy giving up his wife in a ritualistic manner where he watches Ceres do her seems completely out of place. Really feels like the plot is being written on the fly.

Also the entire premise doesn't make sense at this point. If women are considered old by the time they are 17 and basically ignored by their mid-20s because they all die at 50, why are so many women wasting their time being adventurers? Why do all the married couples seem to be the same age?

Since women are apparently just as strong as men in this universe and capable as adventurers, and both men and women seem to die at 50, how did this stigma against older women even develop? I get its a in-universe excuse to have a bunch of unwanted MILFs available, but all other consequences of such a situation are being ignored.

I know its just supposed to be a MILF harem manga, but so much about it doesn't make sense that its distracting to me because it keep getting brought up.

Honestly..... this feels like a stupid plot point.

The main charm of this series is how the MC has a MILF Harem.

The husbands should have just been forgotten after he build the harem.... this drama doesn't need to exist.

No need to vilify the ex-husbands either.... they already left on good terms...

Just let us f***ing enjoy the harem.... I wish author's would stop over forcing drama for the sake of it....

Author is trying way too hard for a concept that should just be rolled with.

This series is obviously wish fulfillment that isn't meant to be logical.....

He shouldn't make us think too much about the premise itself since it's just a vessel for getting the harem....

It's a flawed premise and that's not a bad thing as long as you have it ignored and treat it as just a macguffin.

I said in the beginning that they needed to make the husbands be more reprehensible for this not to feel supremely weird. But waiting until now to do it just feels lazy, reactionary, and revisionist. Like they realized they screwed up after the fact and are now trying to dig out of that hole in the silliest way possible.

If this wasn't going to be the plan to begin with, then the author needed to just accept that they screwed up and roll with making the best of the path they chose.

God, this protag is just being dense. "No, they may have been horrificly abusive husbands, but they were nice to ME!" I hope he stops being a stooge.
My exact thought, I was getting really irritated with this kid

No way he's surprised that the ex husbands are pieces of shit

THEY LITERALLY HANDED OVER THEIR EX WIVES TO HIM ON A SILVER PLATTER, Shizuka straight up got sold to become a slave

Idk in what world that doesn't make a husband trash, but clearly Ceres originated from that world

yea and it's weird why shizuka doesnt you know fight back when she was about to be sold as slave
I forget, did the husbands know that they married superhumans? If so, that makes their decisions...quite remarkable.
iirc no they didn't because the fact they were so successful as adventurers scared off all the men so they had to pretend they weren't to get married. back in chapter like 2 or 3 i think Shizuko said Zect ambushed her from behind with a sleeping drug while they were out on what she thought was a date. Seems reasonable considering she was the healer and not the front line so probably less able to deal with a sneak attack
