Ceres did that. It was supposed to be part of his "revenge" or whatever against the dads for treating their wives like crap that after all the dads indicated they'd hand over their wives and move on with their lives to start fresh (and at least one of them extremely creepily talked about buying a young slave girl he could rail with impunity) he would find girls that all looked like their daughters (because they're daughter-cons or whatever) but I think would also have the opposite/different personalities that would end up causing problems or something. It's been a while since those chapters so I can't remember 100% accurately.

I don't know for sure. It's confusing that he set about specific and kinda karmic vengeance against the dads for being shit, and is going to punish the daughters for being shit, but Zect gets to walk away and according to another comment here, actually get redeemed even though he is by far the most culpable in all of this for how badly Ceres got treated and for how shittily he treated his mom.
Yeah. Ceres didn't want revenge but that wasn't acceptable to the mamas. Here's where the slaves are being introduced.

He does go through a redemption arc, this is just literally the very beginning, when he still thinks he can do no wrong. He ends up in the other human kingdom where the second princess milf (former sword saint, forgot her name but it's something like Freya) is from, gets rejected by the princess his age and her father (he realizes in the end of the meeting that he isn't worthy as a man to marry the princess, nevermind the fact that the only reason he was going to was because he use to be the brave), and ends up in some back alley apartment building with a disabled slave girl he buys out of pity.

It is from here, where he starts to care for her as a guardian, the he slowly starts to change. Later, the princess that rejected him comes across him one day, and seeing that he is now much more humble and dropped most of his most obvious bad stuff, while still working on the rest, that she gives him a second chance and renounce her claim as the princess, putting Zect on the spot to really live up to his change and take responsibility.
I would have read it anyway but that should be obscured as a spoiler.
