Making this comment 3 hours after chapter 23 got uploaded, and I just finished reading, so I can clarify some things since I read the LN.

Every time brave is mentioned, they are talking about the Zect and the his party, but due to translation difficulties from Japanese to English, Ceres (mc) title of Hero has a different character (look up Japanese alphabet if you are confused) use but almost identical meaning as Zect (womanizer childhood friend) Hero. In the LN, the actually name is spelt differently when translated as best as possible from Japanese to English, but where Zect is considered a Hero by birth, Ceres is considered later (but not so much later on) as a "once is all of existence" Hero with unparalleled love and acceptance from the Creator Deity, whose authority over the mortal realm surpasses all kings and rules, with only the goddess considered a high authority. This becomes super important in the sequel, if we every get one, cause ~800 years into the future, humans and demons co-exist peacefully without any issues.

The protag later sells underaged girls to the ex-husbands, the girls then get pregnant from the older dudes, the story still wants us to think he is the "good guy" after this
Eh that's kinda misleading.
Surely the MC ain't no saint, but you made it sould like he deliberately captured some girls to sell them to the ex-husbands.

Those girls were already slaves that would most likely have ended with dudes like those anyways. The exes were already gonna get underaged slaves, that was the main reason they were so happy about getting rid of the FMCs.

What the MC did was to carefully handpick girls that he knew those dudes would love at first sight, but would actually ruin their lives in the long run.

Sure we can agree that the concept of slavery is bad, but the MC didn't cause any more harm that would've been caused without his input anyways, and most likely did those girls more good than if some randos had bought them. He made sure they would be the ones in power despite being slaves.

It's still hilarious that the ex-husbands are to retarded to see that their slaves are the spitting image of their own daughters, with the exception of the brave's father who got a ultra jealous dog girl.

Later in the LN, the children return to their village for a short time after losing everything since they horribly lose to Mammon and become pacifists as a result of PTSD, and they are all super uncomfortable as can be expected. The brave is mortified to see how drastically his father changes due to his dog wife, and the daughters later return after becoming servants to the mc, their mothers, and 3 additional wives that come from the 3 great human nations, and when the girls see their fathers with their new slave wives they also are mortified.

MC is pretty savage imo, and the only girl that I believe deserves better treatment is Maria, since she never did anything truly bad to the mc and was the only one from childhood that did things with him that he truly liked (which was primarily fishing where he could really open up to her about his own experiences), while Mel was portrayed as betraying him in their one sided love and Lydia treated him like crap during childhood due to her insecurity and loneliness from how her parents treated mc as more of their son than her as their daughter. Though that part comes from two parts, one being that all the parents of the brave party were actually horrible parents to begin with, and the MC had the experience from his past life from the very start.

I think that was part of the point of the "gift". Those guys were such crap parents that they didn't even notice the resemblance.

(We could also consider that they might be degenerate enough to be into their daughters as well, but I think from how things were described, they just didn't give enough of a fuck about them to remember their faces).
