Yeah, I finished reading the novel a couple days ago and it really didn't feel right. The only "sin" the mothers want to punish their children for is how they treated MC.

But, according to this world, at 15 years old, the hero and the daughters should be full fledge adults yet they are not capable to properly take care of themselves. At no point in the story does anybody hint that maybe the parents fucked up the kids education.

The children are only there to be objectively worse versions of the MC and the mothers, but the mothers never play a role of mentors or even mothers to their kids. They are only MC's wives, and terrible mothers.

Couldn't agree more. In the previous chapter, the hero guy actually admits that Ceres was the most important member of the party and they are thinking about how to get him to rejoin. The mother's, on the other hand, are trying to figure out how to ruin their own children's reputation and leave them without house or home.
