You know what you are getting into when you read Redo of Healer for example. The mc there is a villain and the author does not try to make excuses for it.

What bothers me here in this story is how the author does not have the balls to make the protag a villain to match his terrible deeds. He does far worse things later on in the novels, like

Yet the author still tries to make us think the mc is a "hero" after all the things he does.

I just want the author to not be such a pussy and admit the mc is not the good guy he says he is.
