I think its probably one of the terms that loses some nuance once its translated to english most likely.

If I guess correctly she might have said something along the lines of nameruna, which while it does mean don't look down on me, it is also something that characters often say while doing dodges or deflecting attacks. Its also a way of implying that "I won't be affected by that" "I won't be hit by that" etc. its a little hard to explain ww

I can 100% understand it. In 1vs1 battles for some games, you might know the meta even if only "somewhat". If you know a particular build or strategy is good or bad or whatever then if you're trying to climb the ladder and rank up you're more likely going to look down on meme builds and focus on strong builds. I've rarely but still occasionally come across opponents who used some sort of meme build or whatever that I really, really, REALLY didn't want to lose to and I locked in for that game, firstly because losing to them would be embarrassing and secondly because I didn't want them to get the wrong idea and think what they were doing was actually a good idea, among other reasons. If it's the Bronze leagues then whatever who cares, but at Gold and above it's serious time.

She takes pride in herself and her ability and she's fighting a Trapper in A rank which has never had a Trapper in it before. If she loses, she'll be the first A ranker in the world to lose to a Trapper in a fair 1vs1.
