Writing is so bad. Even beyond the typical slop of "oh no im so weak. Oh wow a woman appeared and gave me super powers and left, now im op" the premise is already not making sense. If his traps are strong and the ONLY problem was that he cant get monsters to fall into them, then his teammates would at least have attempted to push enemies into them once or twice if its free damage. His level should not be so far behind unless they completely refused to do that EVER. EVEN THEN he would still be handy to set up chokepoints or block out passages with them since monsters clearly try to avoid them.
Just another generic "im not DPS but i want to be a solo DPS" story

It gets worse. Wn is finished so i made the mistake of looking in to it. He also never gets over his old party and simps for them for the entirety of the story.
They are shown as some godly figures and we are blessed to be in their presence or read about them. <-- This is MC

If trap can be triggered on the spot, it wouldn't be a trap anymore but a delayed spell.

If he can do that, he didn't have to be kick out of the party in the first place.

Couldve thought a lot of ways to use the traps he has since it look like he can spam it, he could demon slayer style the shit out of everything like that arrow demon in the earlier chapters. Heck he could probably use the movement arrow trap to move himself out of the way,i swear a lot of manga MC has decent and interesting powers but has barely any creativity to use them

the obvious thought will be "if he can launch magic traps with his arrows isn't just a wizard?".
That is correct, but we wouldn't get a expelled story from that.
I'm gonna guess that a trap have more power than a magic attack from someone of the same level as the trap requires baiting the enemy or waiting for it to walk into it after studying their pattern, so the counterbalance of the system is to make it a stronger attack.
A trapper would even have to be able to move quick, and seems like the trap is istantenous, probably faster than magic, making him faster and more powerful than a normal wizard.
My question remains if his traps are visible to others, the girl didn't believe him, but should have seen the symbols, so it seems likely they are invisible, but could be just cheap writing for that reaction
