To each their own. If you see manga that are shit as shit, reading it will feel like shit. If you see manga that are shit as interesting, reading it will be an interesting experience. Either ways even if the manga is shit at least if you don't see it instantly as shit you could enjoy the thought process behind the manga or the power concept or something else or something small yet interesting. D tier slop could always turn into an s tier manga depending on the power concept and world building so don't jump to conclusions based off the first 10 or so chapters.

I read the first chapter, and not good at all. I'll give it props for not making his former party a bunch of villains, but, power coming for free, gaming systems, and someone able to make instant traps that needs an external power to make enemies fall for them (Goblin Slayer would be disappointed).

Interesting variation for this kind of story. The author keeps showing us aspects of the previous party members in a good light instead of their downfall.

The power up event was a bit forced, with that weird kid in the giving him a new skill out of nowhere and calling him the chosen one, right in the first chapter. There's really no other ways for him to bridge the level gap otherwise so it was unavoidable. Weak plot there I think?

The protagonist is fine, not edgy, not a wimp who can't talk to girls.

The other characters have their screen time because the protagonist is not immediately overpowered after the power up event

8/10. I don't feel annoyed while reading it.
