My thoughts on this chapter is its nice to see some progress for many characters but the main couple is still lagging le sigh

If memory serves, it was her grandmother who took her to see the guardian god for the first time. Then they took care of the shrine together. After the grandma died, Teal kept going to the shrine on her own. So, her memories of the grandma include Gai.

This is basically the romance manga meme where they finally hold hands at ch100+… except I don’t hate it, I saw what fast paced romances are like and 90% of them are trash for literally the opposite reason, the main couple just get together halfassedly without the necessary emotional growth that is needed and either stop after or start some bs drama. the only fast paced romance that was done right in my opinion are chivalry of a failed knight, and monogatari, and those aren’t even purely romance.
there’s a reason why long running romance stories are more popular, especially in the light novel category (haganai, my personal favourite of all time)
