Agreed on both points.

Seeing that the MC is not the only one who's found a little slice of heaven is great. Even the Can't-See-The-Forest-For-The-Trees "Hero" got his, although he needed to be whacked upside the head with a clue-by-four.

But yeah, seeing more development with the MC's relationship would be great. Which brings me to....

Ah crap.

That's seriously not a good sign here. If the WN/LN had a premature death and the manga is already showing signs of a stagnating plot, then it's pretty clear signal that the manga-ka doesn't have either the creative juice or the druthers to make this story into their own. Which means this story is probably gonna be more of the same until it gets axed for being too boring.
