I mean it's pretty obvious he's going to be immune to death. Remember, abnormal Beast Tamer taming strong species and get one amazing power from the strong species he tamed. For Kanade, he gets boost in physical attacks. For Tania, he gets boost in magical abilities. For Sora, he gets to make simple magic turn more complex but effective. And now for Luna, he gets immunity from magical status effects.
