The title is misleading honestly, I went in for slop and stayed for the military campaigns (which are well thought out, even suspenseful). It's take on harem is interesting also as MC has to marry for political reasons and tries to navigate that, his family, society, his own feelings and the feelings of the women involved. And what do you know, the women interact and have their own thoughts about each other and what they want out of the relationship, which admittedly is rare.

You'll have to read a couple volumes until you hit that part though, but if you like low fantasy with guns and political intrigue, there's enough there until you get to harem diplomacy.

...so what's the drama going to be? The magician might or might not a family to introduce, and the other is a saint so there should be some conflict with the church and the polyamory marriage they hero's party is going to do.

After that what? Daily life trying to be a good house husband to all three of them as they go about with their responsibilities? Having to occasionally step in to help with some adventures as a miscellaneous hand? After all, he isn't useless, just not as strong as all 3 of them. Reason why he's left behind at the demon king's castle and not earlier.

After reading through "kicked out of the hero's party I went to a town in the frontier" or something, the one with the MC who's little sister is the hero and classes basically determine your entire life, I have an idea of how this kind of story can go, but maybe not so much when the overbearingly OP characters are in the secluded town.

I SERIOUSLY HOPE THERE AREN'T MORE GIRLS IN LOVE WITH THE MC. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T DO THAT...
