And just like that, GDS's avaricious MO is completely forgotten--all it took was a few chapters, the gratification they produce, and perhaps a few hypemen.

Once this is forgotten, GDS'll be back to business as usual--perhaps even with this manga, once again--for another seven or so months. Whatever's the case, it serves as a good explanation for another manga I follow that the group originally worked on--its last chapters of that manga were released last year, and the scanlation's been sitting dormant ever since--and I get the idea that GDS isn't the type to care much about licensing.

Their scanlations are quality yes but when I learned how they basically on ly translate according to their highest patron bidders I was disgusted. I would have much preferred if they charged per chapter but did them immediately as you request them (like in a day or two). But those guys are truly disgusting and how they do business with their patreon.

The fact that GDS does this--combined with how effeminately lustful after gratification so many people are, such that they respond to a carrot like GDS's with enough enthusiasm to keep GDS's revenue strategy viable to maintain--is why scanlation is nowhere near as good as it used to be. People will forgive MTL-level effort (or actual MTL) and purely mercenary activity such as GDS's as long as they get something--because, after all, "something is better than nothing".

At least the scanlators of the past loved the manga they worked on, or at least were interested; consequently, you could expect quality (especially since readers comprised a smaller and more frequently scrutinizing group than now; now, the lowest common denominator is in the pastime too) and reliability--they'd actually stick to manga projects they chose because they themselves liked them. Now, groups like GDS have revenue as the main condition for their activity. The results are as you see them.

No teamwork or power of friendship shenanigans for the MC here with cheat skills in the mix. We don't do that here in this manga.

He's striving to be OP enough to be a one-man party, and this fight committed to it. He just soloed a boss from floor 92 and won. No one can even argue he fought it after it weakened from another fight, because his old party failed to so much as scratch it. The fight was arguably made harder because his old party taught it to defend against one tactic, and also gave it the element of surprise forcing the MC to fight it without much preparation.

Normally not a fan of stupidly OP MCs who do everything themselves, but maybe I should give this credit for actually committing to his being OP. He already has cheat skills, why even bother with the pretense of teamwork, power of friendship/love and talk no jutsu. Just use the powers and win...

Considering he's just puking out 20 new abilities we've never heard of before back to back, this fight was just waaaay too long. Like, ok, the MC works really hard and solo's the dragon cause he's super OP, we get it, can't you explain this in a two chapters rather than like five?

decent fight and actually understanding what's going on without a lot of guesswork is great degen's might not be perfect but its leagues above others and makes an mtl look like someone just facerolled the keyboard and somehow made words lol.
