Seriously, more mangakas need to learn to use flashbacks and internal dialog to give this kind of exposition instead of making their characters look stupid! Even if they don't want the demon to die here, they can at least not make the mc look like an idiot for revealing a working strategy for NO REASON!

well the fight itself started being built up to 4 chapters ago and then 3 chapters of this fight only for the big bad to just straight up run away
actual waste of time that should have been way shorter tbh

manga is the mc being raised to be an op support then is abandoned by his party because they are stupid only to join up with woman and become heroes together, they then form a party and other people join
they rescue the princess of the beast kingdom who got kindapped by the guy they are fighting and was going to be used to revive the demon lord or some shit and now he is trying to stop them from helping her reach the beast capital

I feel this manga is really heavy handed with the explanation trope. The execution felt grating here. And I don't know whether because I am older and read many manga before this. Or that it was poorly done here.

The author definitely knows that selling mc's winning strategy is a dumb move, but author just can't find any other way to prolong the fight until michele's entry. Also probably "Fight scenes are f ing hard, im going to draw them standing still this chapter."

The only sensible reason I could see is the MC's side believing their chances of winning, despite their strategy, are still extremely slim or that they would at least suffer casualties before defeating the demon. So, explaining all that would be a sort of bluff to make the demon withdraw. If the demon's whole "strategy" was to rely on that magic armor, then simply knowing it's not working fully anymore might make the demon consider the battle not worth it anymore, as he could be risking his own life now. There could be some merit to this, as well, because the demon hasn't actually managed to kill anyone from the party yet.

But of course the real reason is the idiotic shounen trope of needing to talk endlessly with the opponent in the middle of a fight.
