Then again, have we seen any carriages in this manga? Maybe they just don't have any beasts of burden that are good at moving quickly, and only have the ones that can carry a big load.

I guess horses and similar mounts or beasts of burden just don't exist in this world. Walking all the way to the Empire on an extremely important VIP escort mission it is. Hell, maybe nobody has even invented the wheel yet here...

So, the MC is truly a genius mage and even a surgeon. I get it, he's amazing and a walking problem-solving machine. I'm a little tempted to call him a Gary Stu but he hasn't singlehandedly won big fights by himself ...yet, so not now. And not as long as his party members can still do vital roles he cannot (and should not).
