This chapter seems to me like its hinting an undertone. What if Loki was the true hero who ended the war, but someone else stole the credit ? Its only vague, but the way Loki responded makes me think of the possibility. maybe the nobles never intended for him to get any credit at all and here he is, send to a useless part of the demon lands ? working at an osen.
