That's usually the way, and from the way it was done, I'm not surprised. The designs were good, it was a decent concept, but storytelling, characterizations, interactions...a lot of it felt half-assed to me, even compared to the more popular isekais which we complain about because they're too cliched. I had hopes, but it could've been done better.

If there is no longer any hope for this title, maybe somewhere down the line, we can hope someone will take this concept and re-spin it with a better execution.

true. the other scifi/futuristic/mecha + isekai manga that come to my mind knight & magic but that seemed to axed too.
