I don't know if Lloyd intentionally baited the king to copy him and use some sort of absorb but this guy ended up planting the seeds of his own defeat. A little disappointed a dip into that seeping energy didn't outright burn his finger off.
But yeah, I'm calling him the cockroach king for having survived this long. It's both incredible and annoying. Incredibly annoying that he hasn't been deleted yet. His design makes it very hard to take him seriously, and it's easy to underestimate him when he looks like a buffoonish caricature.
I don't even remember if Duke's technique was shown before but Lloyd's probably gonna find a way to redirect this blast into the sky, that's the safest bet if he just can't absorb everything.
