I would be SO happy if they also got to see the little runt's corpse fall out of the dissipating energy monster... but I have the bad feeling instead he'll be "humiliated" or somesuch and they'll just overthrow him (and soon thereafter the 'real' villain kills him for ruining the scheme or something blah blah blah). 🤢

I’d say dodge and let the city get damaged, then make sure the king doesn’t die. Finally toss the king to the mob and see how he likes the power from the “powerless”.

But of course, Lloyd is a hero, he’s not gonna allow collateral damage like that.

That said, if the old demon king’s technique ended up being the finishing blow that take out the human king… there something poetic there.
