Drones i think. I mean in Gundam Witch from Mercury that was a big thing, just little pieces of the mech that fly off and attack individually with lasers.

Heck even Iron Man did it a few times iirc

In Iron Saga (probably the only mech gacha that has been around for years) there are quite a few of them and they're usually high tier.

Like the AT (granted it's likely outdated by now)
