Thinking about the first couple pages... Are the Books sentient? Magic and spells aside, this chapter makes it feel like the Books are actually capable of thinking and can converse with people...

Slight aside, but I really have to wonder what exactly they mean by all affected life. Were lost lives due to demons battles jsut returned? I think it'd be fun to see a chapter or two about that. Zophise attacked Koko's village but didn't outright state anyone died, but makes you wonder if they have to change up the timeline at all or how that would happen.

In regards to this, a bit late but based on the Gash Cafe extras, as well as Gash Bell 2, and even Clear talks about Trial of God. All of these imply that the Books are something else entirely, not demon and do have a will of their own or some force guiding them to an extent. I hope we get full answers in Gash Bell 2, as well as a final conclusion and answers to what happened with Duwain and invaders as well!
