You are forgetting that these are fighting super humans that beat up monsters multiple times their size, for them to fall in a hole just because "living dungeon", well lets just say that has to be some seriously plot heavy hole forming for them to fall into it and not just casually move out of the way, not like they ware busy with monsters or anything.

But that wasn't my point anyway, it was about the author pulling shit out of their arse and smearing it on a previously fine story.

I am waiting for the plot twist where BIG ALCHEMY was behind the trend in firing supports to sell more potions, and that they hired up all the support mages to work the alchemy labs and trapped them in long term contracts.
