Welp, you enticed his curiosity once again by talking about someone he hasn't met yet. Now you have to get him to school while working on the hardest part of the year.
It's not that they can't restrain him. It's that he hasn't yet met his match. Please don't pretend like they can restrain the Pure Chaos that is Ishidaira.
It's not that easy. Modern tech AI isn't actually perfect. And while it's good enough for average person use, for a giant library, it's actually not good. Like, we are improving... but we aren't there yet...With modern technology it should be possible to have software (and hardware) where you just walk past the shelves with a smartphone camera pointed at the books, and the software would automatically recognise the books and alert for anomalies, like a book that, according to the database, should be there but isn't, or books in the wrong order, or naturally if the OCR can't successfully read some faded/fancy text. However, libraries are typically on a pretty tight budget in every country, so I wouldn't expect such software any time soon.
It doesn't need to be perfect. If it worked most of the time, it would already be very helpful, plus if individual books aren't recognised, you can just read the barcode. But who's gonna pay for the development of such software, and also the extra hardware needed? And no, I never said it would be easy, which is why it would also cost money. It's not that easy. Yup, my local library has some type of tag in all of their books, so there is no need for manually scanning!!With modern technology it should be possible to have software (and hardware) where you just walk past the shelves with a smartphone camera pointed at the books, and the software would automatically recognise the books and alert for anomalies, like a book that, according to the database, should be there but isn't, or books in the wrong order, or naturally if the OCR can't successfully read some faded/fancy text.
