Them living together seems like it could either go terrible or good for the both of them. On one hand, Yoshizawa and Naoi both seem to hate their home situations, but also, they seem like they might drag each other down in a self destructive manner.
Honestly they're kind of codependent in that "I only need her" kinda way but weirdly it works for them in healthy way because they're very honest with each other and release all their pent up emotions. Half the time they just spend time together like the start of the chapter I imagine living together they'd be fairly normal. It's only when society imposes on them do they really lash out "negatively". And that's only in the viewpoint of society.

Damn it, I just found out that Kodou is like that, I thought she was someone who likes bullying other people, but it turns out she prefers being bullied, damn masochists are weird

I think kokoro was just groping Kurumi's body while sleeping and licking her

Lots of plot threads going on currently to end the volume lmao we have:

-The situation with Isanuma and the Teacher is up in the air right now and Kurumi could get dragged into that drama again, especially given how nonchalantly Mine started a rumor about her to begin with.

-Kurumi’s mom probably will come back at some point, though possibly not till the end of summer break.

-Kudou was very visibly antagonistic towards Kurumi last chapter, so even though she has successfully gotten Naoi to play along with her, there’s a chance she’ll go after Kurumi in some way.

-Naoi is very much behind the idea of moving in with Kurumi, which isn’t terribly surprising given her home circumstances. So much so that she’s willing to play along with Kudou for the money. This will almost certainly blow up in her face. She’ll probably keep it secret from Kurumi, who by rule of drama will likely find out from a third party (possibly Kudou herself).

-Kokoro has McFucking lost it apparently, breaking into Kurumi’s house. This seems like a very extreme change from where we last saw her (crying over being ghosted and acting depressed), so I’d assume something happened in the meantime that finally drove her over the edge. Maybe she saw Kurumi and Naoi go into that abandoned hotel and jumped to conclusions? I think the furthest she probably went was sleeping next to Kurumi/cuddling up to her while she slept, as anything further than that would have almost certainly woken her up. An extra person’s body heat would explain why she woke up sweating. Unbelievably creepy behavior regardless.

I’m most interested to see how Kurumi handles Kokoro; the last time they were together Kurumi was trying to help her up, only to get snubbed by a disillusioned Kokoro. Honestly the best thing she could probably do is just kick Kokoro out and cut things off as firmly as she’s able; I feel like giving any sort of ground over at this point would just keep enabling her obsessive, stalker side. It’s honestly be kind of satisfying to see Kurumi blow up at her too, but I feel it’s more likely she’ll try to diffuse things somehow. Who knows! No new chapter next month while the author works on the third volume release. I’ll try to have the volume 2 extras to tide over but the next new chapter will be in October!

Kurumi’s already offering to move in together? They haven’t even confessed to each other yet. I dunno, this feels too sudden.

Kokoro has crossed a major line. Kurumi was visibly creeped out and she doesn't even know about Kokoro crawling into bed with her. I do think some misunderstandings are influencing Kokoro's behavior. In addition to possibly finding out about the hotel, there were the various events in volume 2 where Kokoro was led to assume that Kurumi and Naoi had a sexual relationship. Naoi explaining where her face injuries came from. Kokoro's interpretation of Naoi's letter. Naoi teasing Kokoro about a certain face of Kurumi's she's seen that Kokoro hasn't. Kokoro also saw Kurumi stripping for Naoi from the window.

As for Kudou, she got desperate. She might have actual feelings for Naoi, hinted by her animosity toward Kurumi. Her fang teeth are fitting, because she's playing the role of vamp here. She planned everything. Stalked the area she saw Naoi that day, had plenty of bribe money ready due to knowing Naoi's history of poverty, and when the money alone wasn't enough, she poured on the heavy guilt tripping.

As for how both Kurumi and Naoi's sides of things will go, they might both try to resolve things alone and upset the other due to initial misunderstandings. Kurumi could assume Naoi's dating Kudou, with Kudou possibly misleading her into thinking it's true. Or maybe Kurumi might think Naoi's part time job was schoolgirl prostitution. While Naoi assumes Kurumi's letting Kokoro back into her life again and being indecisive like before.Though Kuwabara likes to throw curve balls, so it's hard to say.

The Isanuma plot being seemingly on hold is surprising, but maybe Kuwabara wants Naoi and Kurumi to have a very solid relationship when they confront Isanuma and the others.

Looking forward to October.

Oh god, both of their clingy exes showed up at once, and just when I thought Kokoro might be getting better :wtf:
Naoi didn't date Kudou, she just vented her negative feelings by bullying Kudou severely. The issue is the experience woke up Kudou to masochism. When Naoi realized how bad it had gotten, she avoided Kudou entirely. The stress of withdrawal turned Kudou into a truant who became a thrill seeker trying and failing to achieve that same high.

That was an awesome chapter. Glad we got to see a little more into her background. Thanks for the translation

So, the glasses/punk girl is a masochist. Guess you really can't judge books by their cover.

On another note, what's the average salary of a therapist in Japan? Just curious, is all.

Damn, Kokoro and Kudou are messed up

On the contrary, I think Naoi and Kurumi are really good for each other, at least that I take from their dialogue and thoughts

Hopefully they will be able to sort school life, their families and their clingy stalkers so they can live together

Who knows, maybe the narrative could sort Kokoro and Kudou together lol

Yeah this pay for "gay-adjacent" relationship between Kudou and Naoi is clearly nowhere near as healthy as Shuukura's.
But it's still way better than the creepy stuff from Kokoro that Kurumi is having to deal with. Yikes! :worry:

Could you remind what the Isanuma plot is or around what chapter I can find info on it?
Perhaps I'm following too many yuri manga and maybe it's been too long since I read when Isanuma was last mentioned because I don't even remember them.

Chapter 12. She got the teacher to agree to take her on a date in exchange for keeping quiet about Kurumi slapping her. It turns out Mine had started a rumor that Kurumi was dating that same teacher, which implies Isanuma bullying Kurumi was deliberately caused for an unknown reason. Azuma knows most of this and feels guilty, so maybe she'll go to Kurumi about it eventually.
