This chapter hurt to read, so well done. Did anyone else notice the speech bubble on page 18 conspicuously blocking the mug where the scissors were seen in the past two chapters? There is some twisted hope (if you can call it that) knowing Chekhov's scissors may still be in play.

The way between Kokoro and Naoi the only one that actually noticed anything was wrong with Kurumi was naoi, a real microcosm of the difference between the two of them as love interests. Like obviously there's a lot of differences, but it really does boil down to Naoi sees who kurumi really is, and can tell what's going on under the mask, and Kokoro is obsessed with the mask, unable and unwilling to look past that perfect facade.

Still hoping for a reappearance of chekhov's scissors, and yeah, those tags should probably be updated after this chapter.

The level of toxicity amongst these 4 would put Chernobyl to shame 😂

And we got choking a bitch out? Oh nah, its getting real now... there is no fixes here, only breaking, and breaking even more, I await when the line snaps for all 4.

thank god this dropped, I was just thinking my mental health was a bit too good recently. Nothing like some toxic Yuri to clear out the good feelings!
Think about it. There probably exist people for whom the converse holds true: mental health too bad lately -> toxic yuri drops -> mental health temporarily improves.

By the way, I can't see how the chapter title (in Japanese or Korean) translates to the English one we have here.

This has already been demonstrated but Naoi really does put Kurumi first. She’s clearly her priority - she came because Kurumi called her in the middle of something, she didn’t jump to any conclusions and wanted to hear whatever she had to say despite Kokoro’s attempts to keep her away. I hope she’s okay.

I definitely feel called out by that last page.
This chapter definitely surprised me at several points, but Kurumi's stressed emotional state causing her to make a rash decision that she clearly later regretted was within expectations.

I'm not sure it was much of a decision, so much as just shutting down emotionally and trying to go along with Kokoro again. She realized Kokoro wasn't going to stop, or at least anything Kurumi would typically do wouldn't stop Kokoro, so she tried to find some way to get a benefit out of it. If she is feverish like you say, that would explain some of the logical gaps in this thought process, but it was clear she never wanted Kokoro to proceed in the first place.

Kokoro has the size and surprise advantage, but I still expect Naoi to stop Kokoro herself. This is probably why Kudou didn't do anything. Clearly Naoi dying would be bad for her, but Kudou is probably waiting to see what Naoi does.

I do like (but am not surprised) by this dynamic where they are kind of waiting for Kudou and Kokoro to leave. Those two are going to cause problems while not contributing anything useful, so they are waiting for the chance to talk to each other properly.

The Japanese is mentioning contamination/murkiness and something like the sound of a creaking gear.

Man the more toxic it gets, the hotter this mess becomes.
Except Naoi's ex, she's trash.
But Kokoro this chapter made me feel things, a lot of things. Almost made me forget how pitiful Kurimi is.
Now, I wonder if she'll be able to become Naoi-like and how the relationship between these two will go on.
I almost want them to become a tsukkomi duo. For some reason, that image fits just fucking right.
Thanks for the chapter!

Lol, I agree, Naoi's retorts for Kokoro are hilarious. Kurumi should take notes.

Discussing toxic yuri with your sister? Is that the ideal level of sisterhood?

Well we’ve been sharing recs since we were kids, my brother is really only into battle anime and I don’t have any friends who’re into romance manga so it’s nice to have someone to vent to when toxicity levels get to high

Well, Kurumi did reject her more than once in the beginning of the chapter until what is essentially a sexual assault happens (I like how people say variations of "Kokoro's over" every chapter but she keeps coming back to drop to newer lows lol). I did wish Kurumi put up more of a resistance but as you say, she did shut down emotionally.
