Kokoro was a jerk but shes been redeemed cause she actually knows when to give up. She doesnt need that torture...
Kokoro's time to give up was after chapter 10 after witnessing Kurumi's violent side. Kurumi getting nearly SAed twice, 2 volumes apart by Kokoro then Kudou was not something on my bingo card. Though I think Kokoro is actually done as an antagonist, since after her SA attempt, it would be really hard to justify her friendship with Kurumi now if she does anything else.

Seeing Kurumi blushing like this is honestly the cutest thing ever
The transition from Naoi being left alone by her friends as a kid to the panel of Kurumi turning back to wait for him... my heart, that's so wholesome 😭

I just love a good use of the “we had a transactional relationship, you used me as well/here’s every yen you ever gave me in an impressive wad” trope. Because Naoi DEFINITELY was living ir up with all of her sex work money before now. What a lavish lifestyle! 🙃🙃🙃

The parallel between Kurumi's mom and Kudou, both threatening suicide to stop Kurumi/Naoi from leaving, feels like a nice way to wrap up this arc. Naoi has finally learned the same lesson that Kurumi did, that the only thing you can do when someone is that toxic is cut them out completely. I really hope the speculation about Kimura coming between Naoi and Kurumi turns out to be wrong, and that this series is heading towards Kurumi/Naoi solidifying their relationship without a third rival getting in between them. I understand that people want their favourite manga to go on forever, but when the drama wheel keeps spinning over and over, eventually the series starts to feel like just a sucsession of events rather than one coherent narrative.

It's more from an interview with the author from last year that said the manga isn't even close to ending. So, it really does sound like the drama is only going to continue, even if things with Kurumi and Naoi gradually improve.

Look at Kurumi, a maiden in love blushing when her sweetheart is near. Wears her emotions openly and isn't ashamed of her love for Naoi. Good for you Kurumi, you should invite Naoi to your home since your mother isn't in the picture. :sneaky:

And here I thought, that Naoi was working at a place, that she would be ashamed of, like maid cafe or maybe even a hostess club, but it turns out, that she's just working at conbini 😊
Also, there's a theory that it's the same store where Kurumi almost stole an eraser. That's why Naoi was able to get a recording of her : P
