I can't blame Fai for his opinion on working with other people to take down the Empire at all. Everyone who could potentially fight by his side are walking red flags lol. I feel like Fai and Feri are walking down the same road but in opposite directions, she wants him to live and is willing to try having him partner up with people he'd never get along with whereas Fai just wants to do his duty and die without dragging others in so he can rest.
