Isn’t that just foreshortening? It’s even obvious from the nail angle that the index finger isn’t actually the same length as the thumb, though the actual fingers themselves are pretty long.

Some guys do have long af finger proportions though, so there’s that. Not bad anatomy or even yaoi hands at all.

You're correct! It's foreshortening, so the reason his index looks like that is just the perspective and ppls brains not wholly comprehending it due to the lack of finger-joint lines. I think adding one line under his middle knuckle would've made it a bit clearer, but it's also easy enough to connect the dots, for the most part imho :v
