Man, youre fast. Thank you for the chapter. Doubt they could make similar small guided missile as that but they got the time and with the huge amount of genius that time available for military research.

These guys STILL havent learned their lesson? They should be plenty aware by now that they cant touch the mirai, so why do they keep trying? I mean i get the whole "take the enemy tech for yourself" thing, but this is clearly out of their league, the mirai sunk a submarine, a carrier 400km away from it, and even got through and entire fleet without firing even once, they SHOULD understand that they cant match it in a fight by now.

They can. Mirai is limited by how many missiles she has on board. Once they're gone, that's it. She becomes just a fast frigate or escort. She still has her AN/SPY-1 radars, her sonars, and her gas turbine engines, so she's going to be slippery to catch. The problem is that she's pretty limited on her operational range, so she's got be refueled fairly frequently. If the US Navy thought it was worth it, they could deploy several subs around Japanese naval bases. If they swarm attack Mirai, it's going to be tough to evade them all, if her bunkers are nearly empty. If she's docked for refueling and reprovisioning, a monster carrier air strike could catch her tied up at a pier. Again, if she fires missiles to defend against an air attack, she's pretty much toast when she runs out of missiles.

Again, if the US Navy thought it was worth it, combining an Operation Hailstone sized air strike aimed at the base Mirai is refueling and reprovisioning with submarines swarm attacking her if and when she tries to make a getaway would be the way to go about it.
