nah that was 100% retardation. she could have looked out the windows to assess current outside state in which she would see tons of zombies roaming about. she could have opened the door slowly and peeked through to determine if that room is atleast safe, she didnt even fashion herself a makeshift weapon or anything which you would absolutely want in a situation like this even if you think its relatively safe.
